Glossary

Buzzer : Anglers use this term to denote insects which ac as feed for trouts. They are called buzzers due to the humming sound they make when they fly in droves.

Dapping : A special technique used by anglers to Fly Fish without using any fly line. A short blow line is used in place of long line.

Taper : It measures the flexibility of fly fishing rods. It tells anglers how much fly fishing rod will bend when pressures is applied to it.

Reels : Reels is an object around which one can wrap other material for storage. This material is usually in form of wires. Good reels come with cylindrical core and walls on sides. Both these help people wrap other material without any difficulty.

Anglers : A fisherman who practices the art of fishing with help of an angler. Angler is an object made up of rod with a hook. On the hook one attaches the bait while with help of reel one can reel in fish. Professional fishermen also use anglers to catch fish.

Arbor : The fly fishing reel with tackle is considered one of the best in market. Larger arbors are preferred as compared to smaller ones. Most experienced anglers ensure they have larger arbors.

Angler License : Angler license is a document that allows fishermen to legally catch fish in allowed waters. Usually, anyone above age of 12 years can apply for a license. The permit / license mentions which waters one can go in and what fish are permitted. If one is found fishing outside the permitted areas of or for fish that are legally protected, one is liable for punishment, jail term and fines.
